6 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and quartered
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons water
4 heaped tablespoons rolled oats
2 heaped tablespoons desiccated coconut
2 heaped tablespoons LSA
2 heaped tablespoons flour – whole wheat almond or gluten free
2 teaspoons raw sugar (or 1 teaspoon Nature Sweet Sugar Substitute)
2 tablespoons unsweetened yoghurt
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Place the first 4 ingredients into a large saucepan and simmer until the apples are just cooked, then remove and place in an ovenproof dish.
To make the crumble: mix together in a small bowl the remaining ingredients, using just enough of the yoghurt to bind the crumble mixture – it should not be too moist.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top of the apples and bake in the oven for approx 25 to 30 minutes until the crumble becomes golden brown.
